bOObs: A Guide to Your Girls

bOObs: A Guide to Your Girls, is a humorous and informative owner’s manual. Filled with personal, true stories (“mammoirs™”), it’s also a style guide for breasts. Readers are given practical and useful advice from breast experts – lingerie fitters, doctors, personal trainers, and others – on what to expect from their breasts and how to put their best breast forward at each stage of their lives. bOObs celebrates the unique qualities of all women.

Chapters range from “Sprouting” to “Saggy but Sexy and Sassy,” and everything in-between. Readers learn the state of breasts today (how E is the new C); how to find and get the right fit from a bra, including nursing, pregnancy, and beyond; how to keep “the girls” healthy, and what to do if they’re not. Each chapter contains web and written resources, plus illustrations and sidebars with little known facts, trivia, and the best breast trends.

"Best Consumer Health Book of 2007!" - Library Journal

From the Library Journal (starred review):

This is the book about breast health that your best girlfriend wrote. Dale, the self-described “boob-lady” and mind behind www.booksonboobs.com, offers readers a breezy “mammoir” covering breast lore, choosing a bra that actually fits, and breast health. It has less medical detail than Dr. Susan Love's Breast Book, but it includes a “boobliography,” current information about breast disease and cosmetic procedures, and a format and style that will appeal to young readers.

Boob Lady Testimonials Dear Elisabeth,

Thank you very much for coming to our class. It was really cool how you were really open about everything. At first we were a little shy but you were funny and playful and funky and it helped us all relax. You helped make me a lot less self-conscious about talking about my body.

Thanks again!
